Great service. Came in yesterday for my birthday , and the host was great. We got to go but waited in the restaurant while our order was made. The experience to view your food while it is cooked it nice I love the smells. I recommend the tonkatsu always, my partner loves the curry. I think the aged onigiri is good- prices are great. Very cozy interior, good food but, I do wish the menu would be updated more- but hey if it works! I recommend this place when you are in the mood for a relaxed vibe and Japanese food. Dress casually or not, they don't care. This is a great neighborhood spot for this location.

The service was wonderful! Very creative food, so don't expect traditional Japanese fare. But it was delicious!

Tasted pretty good! We got the combo and a few appetizers. I liked the noodles and bonito flakes the best. Service was really slow since our server was too busy talking to their friends.

The ambiance is real cool. It's a nice cool spot. They had some nice jazz music playing, food was great and not too crowded for the time I went. I ordered a Sapporo (beer), some Yakimochi for an appetizer and Japanese curry. All was delicious.

Ok Yaki was a really good place to eat some Asian food in Georgia. It is a cozy restaurant that my mother in law found, and she was very excited to take us. Everything was super tasty, and the service was really good. If you are visiting Georgia, give it a chance! Maybe don't go on the weekend, because they get busy.

Great vibe in this neighborhood gem! After 7pm is probably best time to come. The staff is attentive and super friendly. The various dishes we tried were hot and extremely fresh, can't wait to try more. Thanks, we'll be back soon!

Ambience - really dark, pub vibes, love the open kitchen concept Service - servers were really nice and provided some recommendations Food - Tako yuzukosho - octopus was super tender and cooked just right, tomatoes were really sweet, not sure if I like the texture of hikiji (reminds me of brown rice) Tonkatsu- pork was in a drier side Okonomiyaki - star of the show, so so good

Before opening as a restaurant in East Atlanta, Ok Yaki originated as a pop-up serving street foods from Osaka, the food capital of Japan. Specializing in okonomiyaki, a crispy cabbage-based pancake topped with savory meats or veggie delights, and drizzled with okonomi sauce, each bite transported me back to the first time I tried okonomiyaki in Osaka. Chef Corban Irby's love for okonomiyaki sparked during his unforgettable days as an exchange student at Osaka University. His vision for Ok Yaki? To serve up fresh and authentic Japanese food right here in Atlanta!

Great Japanese restaurant with unique dishes! I recommend the Okonomiyaki (a Japanese pancake type dish) with pork belly! Or get the combo which gets you both okonomiyaki and the yakisoba in one meal! I love sitting at the bar right in front of the chefs, makes it feel like you're part of the experience, plus watching your food being made just makes you more hungry

This is the best restaurant I have been to in Atlanta in a while. I already want to go back because there are so many other things I want to try. We shared amongst ourselves which is the way to go here. We had the pancake with pork belly on top, the steak, fried chicken, cucumbers, braised pork belly, and edamame. Everything was so stinking good, the Okonomiyaki with pork belly was our favorite dish, followed by the fried chicken then the steak. I probably wouldn't go for the steak again, not because it isn't good, it's just not as special and unique as some of the other dishes plus it is a bit pricey. I've had fried chicken before though, and theirs is exceptional. It's a pretty cramped and busy spot. I think the perfect spot to go on a double date or amongst friends. Its got more of a busy Japanese street cafe kind of vibe. While they were slammed for business, the food came out fast. If you haven't gone here, you just need to stop what you are doing right now and go.
